Retirement Planning

This branch of law deals with legal issues which arise as clients approach retirement age. Concerns include whether changes in income due to retirement should require changes in the wills and estate plan of the client, planning for long term care and insurance, asset protection, Medicare planning and a full range of matters generated by changes in the clients’ life and health which are age-related.

Many clients find it beneficial to consult us well before retirement age, since many of our suggestions require up to five (5) years to implement before retirement, if they are to reach maximum benefit for the client. Sad is the story of the clients who always planned to meet with us, did not do so, and then a life event makes it very expensive and/or impossible to handle.
